Annual Spelling Bee

Bee

The Annual Spelling Bee is an event of encouragement and motivation to improve the students' spellings. This is conducted through preliminary rounds that take place throughout Spelling-Bee week, for each year group during their lesson time. The finals are conducted on a pre-scheduled weekend where the students will compete in their respective key stages. From recent years the spelling bee has been extended to a Parent Bee as well which has become quite popular among the parents.  All finalists receive a voucher and a certificate to authenticate their participation in the Spelling Bee. All key stage winners and the winner of the Parents Spelling Bee receive a trophy as well as a voucher.

Annual Sports Day

Soccer ball

The Annual Sports Day is an event which brings all students as well as their parents together to display their sporting skills. Sports such as Cricket, Football and Dodgeball have been quite popular at this annual event along with the relay race, which is a must for all parents, especially the mothers. No one relaxes everyone participates! The involvement of parents and their children brings them closer together as a family and strengthens the family orientated bond we achieve to create at REC. At REC as much as academia the sports is greatly appreciated too.
